Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center

The Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCCC) headed by Professor Ulrich Keilholz networks all areas of clinical and scientific oncology at Charité in order to be able to provide an integrated care chain encompassing all steps from diagnosis through therapy to psychological and social support and follow-up. All Charité facilities and clinical disciplines that are involved in tumor medicine belong to the CCCC network to ensure interdisciplinary and thus encompassing care of all tumor patients.

In 2008 the CCCC was the first oncological center in Germany to be certified by the German Cancer Society. It is a Center of Excellence in Oncology supported by the Deutsche Krebshilfe.

With its standardized interdisciplinary approach to the diagnosis, therapy, follow-up and rehabilitation and its modern strategies for early detection and prevention of cancer CCCC offers medical care of the highest quality which is continuously being improved through intensive research.

The research programs of the CCCC are based on the three pillars basic, translational and clinical research. The center also offers ongoing psychooncological support by especially trained experts.
